Nursing

At Logan County Health Services, we strive to provide high-quality, compassionate care close to home. Logan County Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital that offers acute care, swing-bed, and observation services. The nursing department works closely with our medical providers, social services, respiratory therapists, dietary staff, and rehab staff to ensure a personalized plan of care to meet each of our patients’ unique needs.
Our Swing-Bed program is designed for patients following an acute illness, injury, or surgery, who no longer require acute care but still require skilled care before returning home. Logan County Hospital uniquely provides post-acute rehabilitation and 24-hour skilled nursing services right here in our Critical Access Hospital.
Our nursing staff also provides outpatient services such as IV infusions of antibiotics, blood and blood product administration, medication injections, wound care, PICC line care, Port-A-Cath care and much more!
Our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is prepared to handle all emergency care needs. The emergency department staff has advanced training in courses such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ATLS.  The Logan County Hospital campus has an on-site helicopter landing pad for easy access to transport patients who require more specialized care.
